A Canton woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder of a five-month-old infant.
Joslynn M. Graham, 23, of Canton, Illinois has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder for the death of her 5 month old infant, Emery Jean Lyons. She died October 7, 2021
Fulton County Prosecutor's say she searched the internet for ways to get rid of a baby weeks prior to Emery's death. Autopsy shows the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. She had multiple contusions to her head and face. She is facing up to 60 years in prison.
We will continue to follow the court case and continue updates on our website. As of today 10/9/2021 this has not officially been entered in to the court system yet.
10/14/2021 Per the news station Heart of Illinois, they reported that in court today she pled 'not guilty' and she is being held on a $1 Million Bond. It was reported that Joslynn is the one that spent most of the day with Emery. Emery was found unresponsive at her father's residence.
