With a very heart, we regret to inform and confirm that Carl Junior has been located deceased as of last night, June 18, 2020 approximately 8:00 P.M.
The family has made this statement publicly:
"With heavy hearts, we are sad to announce that Carl Gordon has earned his wings. Carl's body was found last night (6/18) in Little Calumet River in Blue Island, IL. This is an active investigation and we cannot answer any questions at this time. Please pray for the family, respect their privacy and give them time to grieve. We are so grateful to everyone who assisted in the search efforts to bring Carl home"
A body was found Thursday, June 18, 2020 just after 8:00 P.M. in the Little Calumet River, near the 13200 South Ann Street block in Blue Island, Illinois. His family had to identify him today. He will be coming home to be laid to rest properly.
Speaking with the family, they wanted to thank every single person that came to join them in their efforts to pass out posters and search to bring Junior home to his family, children, and so many friends and loved ones. Junior own 'Chi-Cal Katering' in Woodstock, Illinois. This was one of his many accomplishments, along with having his children and being a great part of their lives. Junior will be greatly missed by so many who knew and love him.
We want to reiterate, please do not contact the family at this time. Please allow them time to grieve. There is an ongoing invesstigation now being led by the Illinois State Police. If you have any information, now is the time to contact the Illinois State Police or the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
